Our team had a loooong day on the faithful coaster bus to reach Bundibugyo (which means “the end of the road”) and it truly felt that way. As we climbed into the stunning Rwenzori mountains, the population thinned for the first time. Tea plantations and cocoa farming is big here.
Our arrival at Christ School was much anticipated! They danced, drummed and sang a song they WROTE FOR US! Thanking us for educating the girl child and valuing her. We met with students and teachers to hear about the improved health and confidence, especially for the girl-child.
Our hearts were full and we were challenged to work as hard as they do to change the future for girls in Uganda.
